Chant: It's autumn (weather), Story time rhyme (numbers), Tidy-up (numbers)

Story: Look at Cookie. What a mess! (clothes, body)

Worksheets: What shall we do? (clothes, weather), HW – Cookie (face)


Warm-up: We start the lesson with a Hello song. We move a lot while singing, e.g. we wave, dance, jump, skip, fly, swim etc. We sit down in a circle and greet Cookie. We talk about our clothes, weather, our mood etc. We say “Autumn”and play with leaves: we catch them on the air, pick them up and put them in the box. We talk about their size and colours.

Topic: We talk about pumpkins, about their colours, sizes and weight. We also play a game with them: we close our eyes, our teacher will leave only one in a bag. We open our eyes. We touch it and guess which one is in our hands. We bring pillows while listening to a chant. We sit and listen to a story. We tell the story with the help of teacher. We do a worksheet while listening to a song. We do a maze and revise clothes words.

Follow-up: We say a chant while tidying-up. We bring our homework and show different animals. We are awarded by a sticker for our smiley-book, and one small picture for our pictionary. We say “bye-bye” to everyone.

Practise English everyday:

Angličtinu si s dětmi můžete procvičovat i na procházce. Sbírejte listy různých stromů, ptejte se anglicky na barvu, velikost a tvar. Doma si je pak můžete usušit.

You can practise English with children while taking a walk. Pick up different leaves and ask them about their colour, size and shape. You can bring them home and keep dry for later.
