Warm-up: We start the lesson with Hello song. We stretch our bodies and practise questions and answers. We sit down in a circle and wake Cookie up. We talk about ourselves and then play with flashcards: we describe animals' bodies, we talk about their colours and name them. We play a theatre in pairs: How are you? Fine, thank you.

Topic: We say Story time rhyme, bring pillows and sit down. We listen to the story and follow it in the Big Book. We open our Small Books and write our name down. We do a worksheet while listening to different song: we colour things in the basket. We talk about food, toys and others.

Follow-up: We say a chant while tidying-up. We bring our weather clocks and talk about weather and clothes: What do we do when the weather's hot? We are awarded by a sticker for our smiley-book. We play Goodbye chant and give a huge hug and a big kiss to Cookie.

Falling Leaves

Project for Pre-school and Primary School Children


Dear parents and teachers, the autumn is about to finish so let us play with leaves for the last time of this year! Create a nice book full of leaves, stories and lovely memories...

Milí rodiče a učitelé, podzim už pomalu končí, tak si pojďme ještě naposledy v tomto roce pohrát s listy! Vytvořme si krásnou knihu plnou listů, příběhů a nádherných vzpomínek..

Use a template or make your own. Stick all sheets on cards and put them together, you can tie them by ribbons or ropes or anything you want to. You can draw, colour, stick photos and dry leaves in the book. Make it as nice as you can!

Použijte už předem připravné listy nebo si vytvořte vlastní. Podlepte je kartónem a pospojujte dohromady, můžete je svázat stuhou nebo provázky, to už záleží na Vás. Do knihy můžete kreslit či malovat, lepit fotografie a suché listy. Vytvořte si ji takovou, jako chcete!

Warm-up: We start the lesson with a Hello song. We move a lot while singing and answer the question: What shall we do now? We sit down in a circle and greet Cookie. We play “Chinese whispers” with questions, the last one in the turn says aloud and answers. We play with leaves and talk about their colour, size, shape: we pick them up and wave, put on our head, blow on the air and put them in the our bags.

Topic: We say a chant while jumping on the circles. We count them while singing a song. We bring pillows while listening to a chant. We sit and listen to a story. We tell the story with the help of teacher. We do a worksheet while listening to a song. We talk about the weather and proper clothes.

Follow-up: We say a chant while tidying-up. We bring our homework and talk about Cookie's face. We are awarded by a sticker for our smiley-book. We sing Bye-bye song and give a big hug to Cookie.

Warm-up: We start the lesson with a Hello song. We move a lot while singing, e.g. we wave, dance, jump, skip, fly, swim etc. We sit down in a circle and greet Cookie. We talk about our clothes, weather, our mood etc. We say “Autumn”and play with leaves: we catch them on the air, pick them up and put them in the box. We talk about their size and colours.

Topic: We talk about pumpkins, about their colours, sizes and weight. We also play a game with them: we close our eyes, our teacher will leave only one in a bag. We open our eyes. We touch it and guess which one is in our hands. We bring pillows while listening to a chant. We sit and listen to a story. We tell the story with the help of teacher. You can practise English with children while taking a walk. Pick up different leaves and ask them about their colour, size and shape. You can bring them home and keep dry for later.

Warm-up: We start the lesson with a song. We sit down in a circle and play a game with a snake – we pass it by and when music stops, we answer various questions. We present our Halloween objects, we talk about this holiday. We say a chant and play with leaves: we catch them on the air and talk about their size.

Topic: We sing a song and move a lot. We play a game with ghosts pictures. We count them, talk about their feelings. We say a number and name a certain ghost. We talk about pumpkins, about their colours and sizes. We also play a game with them: we close our eyes and guess which one is in our hands. The teacher asks questions and one child with open eyes answers. We do a worksheet while listening to a song. We count and colour Halloween objects. We write numbers.

Follow-up: We play Bobbing for Apples game. We sit down with our hands behind the back and try to take an apple out of water with our mouth as soon as possible. We are awarded by sweets and some more worksheets, one of them is for our pictionary (we can cut small pictures out and stick them in our dictionary). We say “bye-bye” to everyone.

Play following Spider-girl game:

Ukažte dítěti pavouka a vysvětlete, že se jedná o samičku-slečnu. Nejdříve se společně naučte říkanku, poté nechte dítě zavřít oči a během říkanky pavouka někam schovejte. Když říkanka skončí, dítě může otevřít oči a začít hledat. Pokud potřebujete více času na schovávání, protahujte prostřední část říkanky. Až se dítě samo povídačku naučí, může Vás vystřídat a schovávat místo Vás.

Instruct a child to close his/her eyes. While saying the chant, hide a spider-girl. When the chant is finished, a child can start looking for it.

I'm a little spider, spider, spider. I'm not a boy. I'm not a baby either. I'm a spider-girl. Crawling here, crawling there, here and there.... Where's the spider-girl? Find her!


Make your own Halloween puppets:

Použijte předlohy z listu nebo si nakreslete vlastní. Vybarvěte obrázky, vystřihněte je a také vytvořte dva malé otvory na dva prsty. Mluvte za loutku, hrajte divadlo.

Use a template or make your own. Colour the pictures, cut them out and made also two small hollows for fingers. Play with the finger puppets.
