English lesson A6a 26.10.2010

Songs: Here we go Looby-Loo (verbs), Rock your numbers (numbers)

Story: What’s the matter? (body, at the doctor’s)

Worksheets: Find my twin (animals, sizes, colours), HW – How many animals in the pet store/shop? (animals, numbers)

Warm-up: We start the lesson with a song, we move a lot, we walk around in a circle with joined hands, we move our hands and feet in and out the circle, we turn around. We wake Cookie up, greet him and play a game with him – we pass him by and when music stops, we answer various questions. We play a competition with colours dice, saying the correct colour as soon as possible. We play a game with red and green flags, jumping, skipping, flying, swimming, dancing, singing and marching when it’s green; we should stop when it’s red.

Topic: We revise body parts while using flashcards, we play a lot of activities with them, we count them, choose one out and count again, we say their colours. We bring pillows to sit on and listen to a story, we act the story and show parts on Cookie’s body. We count our fingers and other parts of our bodies.

Follow-up: We sing a song and count until twelve. We play with pillows when singing, we move our arms up and down and turn around. We talk about favourite animals and colours, we do a worksheet. We find twin animals, with the same size. We talk about homework, we choose three small pictures to our pictionary out of a box. We are awarded by a sticker for our smiley-book (that was our homework, to make one at home and bring to the class). We say “bye-bye” to Cookie.
